The sixth annual Yukon River Quest came to a close Sunday evening, with the wrap-up barbecue and award and cheque presentations in Dawson City.
A record 51 teams took part in this year’s race and five Yukon-related teams finished in the top ten – four in the top five. Here are the full results:

This year’s River Quest also saw thousands of dollars raised for various charities.
England’s SAS Chase 1 and SAS Chase 2 raised 16,000 pounds, or about $40,000 Can. for children’s hospice in England while Scotland’s Och Aye Canoe raised $2,500 for a charity in their country.
The team Scarlet Fever, comprised of Yukon RCMP officers, raised thousands of dollars for diabetes in the territory. While the exact amount is not yet known, the Tr’ondek Hwech’in First Nation of Dawson presented the team with a $1,000 cheque at the finish line.
